What is customisable furniture?
Our range of customisable furniture includes our most popular chairs, stools, soft seating, table top, and bases. All have elements that can be changed to suit your individual preferences such as fabric choice, upholstery style, frame colour, or table edge profile.
What’s the difference between custom and bespoke furniture?
Custom furniture uses existing products with one or more element that can be changed to create something individual to you and your venue. Bespoke furniture, however, is when we design and produce an item that’s original and totally unique, fitting a specific creative brief.
How do I get started with a custom furniture project?
We need to understand your project requirements, so get in touch and we’ll arrange a consultation to find out exactly what you’re looking for. We have a large range of stock products that can be customised, so come ready with your ideas and we can work together to put your stamp on our high-quality commercial furniture.
What parts of your furniture can I customise?
Depending on the item, there are different ways that you can customise our commercial furniture. With seating, an upholstered product can have a different fabric or upholstery style. If the frame is metal, it can be powder-coated in any RAL colour, and if it’s wood, we can finish it in a shade of your choice. The colour can be changed on any of our metal table bases, and a selection of our wooden table tops can be crafted with a choice of edge profile.
Do you allow COM orders on your upholstered furniture?
Yes, we are happy to use a customer’s own material to customise our furniture. Your chosen fabric will need to meet industry standards and be CRIB5 certified. The fabric will form part of the quote, and we will purchase it on your behalf, meaning it’s easier for us to keep track of orders.
How long does custom furniture take to produce?
We will always aim to work to customers’ deadlines, but depending on the furniture being customised, the lead-time can vary. Some products can be turned around in as little as 4 weeks, but at the start of a project, we will always be transparent with you about how long an item of customised furniture will take to produce.
Is your custom furniture suitable for commercial environments?
Absolutely. All items that go through Eclipse Furniture, whether stock, customised, or bespoke, are designed and built for use in commercial venues. When we customise an item of furniture, we will only ever use hardwearing materials that are appropriate for commercial use.
Does your custom furniture come with a warranty?
All our customised furniture comes with a one-year warranty which covers defects in construction and workmanship. However, we are confident that our products are fit for purpose, so they should give you many years of service if cleaned and maintained correctly.
