Bespoke contract furniture – Our offering

First impressions count across the hospitality and service industry – That’s why it’s important to have the right contract furniture items for your establishment. Of course there are other major and critical factors including food, drink and customer service, but the overall look and feel of your restaurant, bar, pub, café or hotel plays an important role in the overall impression to the customer.

Practicality vs design

As we’ve discussed time and time again, contract furniture is crucial to this type of environment as it can handle the daily use and will therefore withstand the test of time. In fact, it’s a great investment and although may be slightly more expensive initially, will pay back over the course of time. It needs to be practical, comfortable, easy to clean and easy to maintain.

However, what you don’t want to suffer is the design – It’s still possible to have all the above elements without the design of the furniture falling short of your expectations to uphold your brand and a striking overall interior design. Here at Eclipse, we stock hundreds of designer-led ‘off-the-shelf’ items, which can be delivered to you the very next day. However, we also offer a bespoke service to go that extra mile in terms of catering for a designer market.

Design vs need

The design chosen for your venue will very much depend on its intended use. Zoning your furniture is important – For example, think about the length of time a customer needs to be seated – This should relate to the ergonomic design of your chairs and tables. If you want a chilled area where a customer will spend time drinking after a meal, your seat choice could have a huge direct effect on their spend within your setting. So, you’d want to go for a high back, deep, angled armchair for example. If you want them only to perch for a little while before moving on, a more upright, low-backed, shallow armchair, side chair or stool. These are the types of elements you should be taking into consideration before purchasing your furniture.

Layout

Whatever your venue and whether you’re purchasing additional furniture items, or, starting from scratch, you will have established or need to establish the ultimate layout. What kind of atmosphere are trying to portray? As a result, how many tables, chairs and bar stools can you comfortably fit? Is there enough room between furniture items or is there too much room? Can customers and waiting staff move comfortably between one area and the next without having to ask for chairs to be moved?

Bespoke service

We have a wide range of customers ranging from unique cafes and bistros to large chains and commercial interior designers. We pride ourselves on our wide range of furniture but also appreciate that the two latter customers are potentially in need of more of a bespoke service, especially when taking into consideration all the above points. It may be that you like the shape and style of a particular furniture item but the colours and material offered don’t specifically match the brand. Those pieces we do have in your desired colour and design may not fit with the layout of your venue.

So, if this is you, why not take a look at our bespoke furniture service. The process couldn’t be simpler:

  1. Select your product
  2. Choose your finish – if this is an item made from wood, you can stain in a colour of your choice. Or, if it’s a metal finish, you can powder coat from our wide range of options. If you need to perfectly match your brand colours, you can also give us the RAL colour and we can match this for you.
  3. Now for the finishing touch – once your frame is tailored to your preference, you can upholster in a fabric of your choice. We have a wide range of fabrics from genuine and faux leathers to suede effects and tartans.
  4. Stand back and admire your creation

The above process is extremely simple and we can help to guide you through the process. Obviously if you’re a designer you won’t need this type of guidance from us, but some customers do like this service – We have a lot of experience in this area and so can assist you in choosing the right colour and material co-ordinations.

Colour as part of the experience

Colour will also have an impact on your customers. Not only should your furniture match your venues interior design, we mustn’t forget the impact of colour on one’s mood and also one’s spending. Colour can create an energetic or relaxing atmosphere or it can even suppress or accelerate appetite. For example, reds, oranges and yellows are known to increase blood pressure and energy and therefore excel hunger!

If you’re looking for more than just a purchase when it comes to your venues contract furniture, why not contact us now to talk to one of our experienced team members.
